Lyric Content Edit
Link confidently asserts that he's "back" after the events of It's Dangerous to Go Alone. His newfound confidence comes from the fact that he's been appointed the "Hero of Rhyme," though Navi attempts to correct him, as he's really been named the "Hero of Time." Link is so confident in himself that he attempts to take down evil without a sword or shield, instead opting to use his "beats and jams." Suddenly, Link is approached by a villager who tells Link of the plights and monsters overtaking his village. Link responds with a rap verse asserting his dominance. However, in reality, this strategy proves ineffective, since after his verse, the village is left on fire with everyone dead. Link thinks little of this, while Navi berates him for his stupidity. Next, Link approaches Ganon's lair to defeat him. Ganon prepares a "giant glowing sword" as Link delivers another rap verse. During the verse, Ganon swings his sword at the boy, which puts him into a slight panic. Navi attempts to bring him back to reality and inform him of the danger he faces, but during her speech, Link is struck down by Ganon, and Navi winces at the scene.
- This is the second Legend of Zelda themed Starbomb song, after "It's Dangerous to Go Alone".
- The song's plot most closely relates to that of Ocarina of Time, due to the presence of Navi, and Link being referred to as the Hero of Time.
- It was the first song from Player Select to receive a preview video.
- The song's title is a play-on-words of the phrase "The Hero of Time," a title given to the Link from Ocarina of Time.
