The Nintendo DS is a handheld video game console by Nintendo.
History[]
The DS released in 2004 as the successor to Nintendo's Game Boy Advance. It features use of two screens, with touch capabilities on the bottom one. An updated model of the DS, the Nintendo DS Lite, was released in 2006, which featured a sleeker design compared to the original. This was later succeeded by the Nintendo DSi in 2008, which featured a built-in camera and access to an online shop. The DSi was succeeded by the DSi XL in 2009.
The DS was succeeded by the Nintendo 3DS in 2011.
