The Nintendo 64, abbreviated N64, is the third home video game console manufactured by Nintendo.
History
The Nintendo 64 is Nintendo's third home video game console for the international market. Named for its 64-bit central processing unit, it was released in June 1996 in Japan, September 1996 in North America, March 1997 in Europe and Australia, September 1997 in France and December 1997 in Brazil.
On Game Grumps
The Game Grumps have played several games on the Nintendo 64, most notably Banjo Kazooie while Jon was on the show, and Super Mario 64 and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time with Danny on the show. A majority of the Nintendo 64 games the Grumps have played are one-offs. Four Nintendo 64 games developed by Rare were featured on the Guest Grumps episode, Special Guest Grant Kirkhope. Super Smash Bros. holds the distinction of being the only N64 game, as well as one of three non-PC games to be featured on Steam Train thus far.
