Leading to Victory is the sixteenth episode of Punch-Out!! on Game Grumps.

Game Progress[]

Danny attempts to fight King Hippo again. Though he's able to remove the manhole cover without taking damage and survive the first round without being knocked down, the Hippo Hug-n-Squeezes overwhelm Dan to the point where he gets knocked down with King Hippo one punch away from defeat. Distraught and exhausted, Danny ends the episode early.

Controversy[]

At less than six minutes, this is one of the shortest episode of Game Grumps or any of its spin-offs to date (not counting announcement videos and commercials). It is only matched by Kung Foot. Due to this, and the virtual lack of progress made in the game, fans reacted very negatively to this episode, and it received more than 3,000 dislikes in one day. Additionally, the game audio is much lower than in other episodes of the game. Some fans blamed Kevin for the video's short length and low game audio. Others blame Arin and Danny for not fixing or replacing their broken timer.

Some fans suggested that this episode could've been added to one of the other episodes, either the previous one or the next one. On Twitter, Kevin stated that if he had done this, there wouldn't be a video for the game ready for Thursday due to Danny being out of town and not being able to record until the 7th.

Later, in an episode of their Super Mario 64 series, Danny and Arin apologized to fans and to Kevin for the shortness of "Leading to Victory" and took the blame. Danny admitted that the Grumps had gone far too long with a broken timing setup and confirmed that they had ordered a new timer.
