"Excuse Me" is an episode of Game Grumps and the one hundred eighth and final episode of Sonic '06. This marks the end of the Grumps's playthrough, as Jon departed from the series shortly after this episode.

Intro[]

"I'm falling! Ow!" "(laughing)" "Fuckin' fall damage in this game is terrible." "Yeah, dude, it doesn't even have any." "Hah! That's how terrible it is." -JonTron and Egoraptor

Outro[]

"Next time on Game Grumps, I'm gonna re-evaluate everything that ever happened to me. Starting with that time where I almost threw an old person's keys over a fence." "THAT WAS YOU?!" -JonTron and Egoraptor

Game progression[]

In this episode the Grumps made their way to the final boss. Arin was only one move away from beating the Silver campaign, but because he and Jon were distracted dissecting a breakfast joke, they missed the message telling them what to expect, so instead of sending back the final boss' final projectile he fell into the lava with 0 lives left.

Following this episode, the Grumps discontinued their longest tour through a video game to date, when Jon decided to leave to resume work on the JonTron show. Arin has not returned to play the game on his own. Neither he nor Jon's replacement, Danny, feel inclined to return to the playthrough, feeling it would be too out of place and unnatural to resume the series without Jon.

Playthrough retirement[]

The Grumps ended the Sonic '06 playthrough with the Sonic and Shadow campaigns completed, and Silver's campaign left hanging at 97%, unable to defeat the final boss of his campaign, Iblis. They were on the verge of the final campaign, titled Last Episode. However,  the campaign has only two missions, collecting the Chaos Emeralds and then a battle against the game's true final boss, Solaris. Though the final mission was anticipated by viewers of Game Grumps, including the aformentioned kiss between Sonic and Princess Elise, and a tag battle with the three Hedgehogs in their Super forms, it will not be completed.

It should be advised that a fake Part 109 of Sonic '06, entitled "WHAT IS THAT A!- PART 109 - Game Grumps", with a fabricated thumbnail close to but not exactly Barry's style, was posted on YouTube as a means of trolling long-time viewers of Game Grumps.

Trivia[]

  • This episode held the place as the latest episode of the longest running series on Game Grumps until it was passed by the Pokémon FireRed Version episode, Tucked Snuggly, with Dan and Arin on February 9, 2015 (almost a whole 2 years after the end of Sonic '06). Tucked Snuggly is most known for having the Grumps finally mention Jon since his departure. It was one of the first of many steps that helped debunk any "Jon & Arin Break-Up" conspiracies.
